Designed exclusively by acclaimed oil painter Micki Thomas, every detail of these tiles was intentionally chosen to create a beautiful playing experience while reflecting the hope and strength found in every survivor's story.

At the heart of the collection is the gingko leaf, featured throughout the tiles and logo. Revered for its ability to endure and thrive through adversity, the gingko has long symbolized resilience, hope, and renewal—qualities that are essential to the healing journey and a powerful reminder that growth is possible even after life's most difficult seasons.

Birds are another prominent motif woven throughout the collection. Across cultures, birds symbolize freedom, independence, and new beginnings. The red-bellied woodpecker, featured in the collection's logo, represents perseverance and determination, while each of the ten joker tiles showcases a unique bird design. Together, these images serve as a celebration of the courage it takes to reclaim one's future and soar toward new possibilities.

The collection also features eight unique flower designs, carefully selected because each flower bears a woman's name—a subtle tribute to the dignity, individuality, and worth of every woman.

Premium Craftsmanship...

This luxury American Mahjong set includes 160 premium acrylic tiles featuring engraved and hand-painted designs in a vibrant 10-color palette. While most premium mahjong sets utilize only six to eight colors, this expanded palette was intentionally chosen to bring Micki Thomas's artistic vision to life, creating greater depth, visual interest, and beauty across every tile.

Throughout the design process, Micki thoughtfully refined each tile by building hands from the NMJL card, ensuring that completed hands would be as visually stunning as the individual pieces themselves.

Each tile measures 1 7/16" tall × 1" wide × 5/8" thick and is constructed with four durable acrylic layers for exceptional quality and longevity. The tile backs feature an elegant gingko leaf design, creating a cohesive and sophisticated look from every angle.

The tiles pair beautifully with the coordinating Refuge for Women Kentucky Mahjong Mat, sharing the same color palette and many of the same artistic elements. Together they create a cohesive playing experience, while also complementing a wide variety of other brands' mats, racks, and accessories. The mat measures 31.5" x 31.5" and made from durable polypropylene with a non-slip rubber backing.
